Now, I find this very interesting. Why does a photograph of a landscape like this hold so much interest for us? Would we have thought anything about it was special if we were just walking along these trees? Is it because the photographer stopped and thought, "that would make a great photo?" And thereby presents it to us as something worth considering as special, as art? Is it because it is but one moment, frozen in time? I really don't know; sometimes, you just can't figure out why something like this really grabs you. But I do know that is one hell of a photograph. There is something about it that I think is fantastic.
