Description

Selective color shot of a little frog covered in mud. Not my best but it was a cute little frog, and I don't think I've ever seen one with an orange eye before. Thanks for your comments on "lichen macro", even though it didn't get as much attention as I'd hoped it would. Seems like an artist's taste in their own work is never the same as their audience's -- I've posted some stuff that you guys have loved but I thought were total shit sandwiches, and the stuff of mine I think is actually good is usually not very highly regarded. I am glad "the king" series was well recieved, since I was really proud of those. There's one more on the way, actually. See you soon!

i'm not saying you do this but whenever i'm making something and thinking in my head about the applause and regard and flowers and panties people are gonna throw at me i always end up getting stabbed in the heart cuz people'll go "meh" and its usually because when i think of myself as a big shot i'll end up drawing a stick figure, blinded by the applause i think i'm gonna get. i ain't saying you do that, just saying i feel you. you asked what the line was, the limit between photography and drug enhancing the the photography with post effects. for me, regular photography is boring and the art is in the postwork because cameras are making it easier and easier for anyone to take a good picture. and postwork seems more of an interpretation of the photographer's brain and how the photographer imagines the world. but thats just me. i'm not a photographer and my hormones are raging and my attention span is low. for me you haven't crossed any lines because the line starts at the post effects so what you do to your pictures is minimal. to me. but everybody is different and an old school veteran would probably tell you, you went too far the second you loaded it in Photoshop. so that line hardly exists. he has an orange eye! and he looks like he's growing out of the lake. or she. i dunno i don't go around looking at frog crotches hahahaha. good times. happy birthday. young adult status now

This is another winner. Going to grey scale and leaving the orange eye makes for a perfect image.
