Description

This little bug and his friends are busy eating their way through my basil plant but I'm kind of flattered they like it so much.

That is a good mimic and I suppose if they are fairly slow they wont get noticed much by hungry birds

Fascinating bug! It looks to have a portion of vertebral column outside it's body. Maybe it is only a marking, but how incredible it is to resemble a spine. Beautiful macro, Rozanne. Hugs, Suzanne

real good macro. guess you need to find a plant to grow by your food plant to get rid ot these bugs.

Lovely clear macro, Rozanne. You are a good advert for your camera ;o) I have not seen this lttle bug before, but my eyesight up close is not the best. I did spot a snail the other day, but only because it was at eye level, and on a contrasting background.. Regards, John.
