Description

This was a lovely surprise to me this morning. We've had some very cool and damp days recently and my time in the garden has been cut way back. Looking out of the window this morning, I was delighted to see that 'Apricot Nectar' is both in bloom again, and is covered in buds, too. This was taken just after 8:00 am this morning, covered in dew. What a welcome surprise, on Thanksgiving morning.

Geez, I forgot all about Thanksgiving there. I must send a note to my cousin. I can see why this would be particularly touching. Its a beautiful thing to encounter as you clear the sleep from your eyes. Gorgeous.

I call this lovely specimen a cherry vanilla ice cream rose. It sure reminds me of a scoop of that particular flavor. Lovely soft lighting and textural effects in this nice macro.
