Description

There are so many Renderosity artists who live in Eastern Washington, it's almost hard to believe! This is for all of you who live in the heart of apple country. Merrylee, Lizzi & Vaggabondd, Lilbiscuit, A2J2001, PumaWalkingSoftly . . . I'm sure I've missed someone, but if I did it wasn't intentional, and this is for you, too! I took this shot in my neighborhood here on the wet side of the mountains. (Yes, I had to sneak around to get it!) One of my neighbors has several beautiful fruit trees all down their rather long driveway. I kept seeing pictures I wanted to shoot "just one more tree down!" Nobody came to kick me out, so I guess they didn't mind too much. My aunt was with me, and she acted as lookout. I felt kind of bad about leading her into a life of crime, but hey - she's over 70, so I suppose she knows what she's doing! :)

It's apple season here too. We have something called Apple Hill and its in the foothills where apples grow best. This time of year Apple Hill opens up and everyone drives up there for the best apples ever. All varieties, all colors. I just harvested the apples growing in my back yard - the biggest harvest yet and the lady across the street has been giving away bags of apples from her trees for the past 3 weeks. I seem to go where the corn and the apples grow... I was born in Ohio in the corn and apple belt where stories of Johnny Appleseed abound. A very nice shot of these apples and I can see by the clarity of the shot that they are ripe by the natural wax building on the skin.

Red Delicious? Whatever, the bright red goes so well with the sunny green leaves. I'm glad you didn't get caught; I assume you didn't steal any apples. :-)

HAHAA ! You are sneaking again and even leading your dear aunt to sneak with you. How could you ? ;) Nooo, I let my husband go and ask for permission to enter their area. Today we went to a tire mechanic-- ohh-- and he had alots of rusty items to capture. I made him ask if I could take some shots there, unfortunately I didnt bring my camera today, so i must go there another day. Lovely apple shot indeed and I am watering my teeth :)))

Beautiful red apples, I prefer mine green but I might be tempted with one of these. There is nothing quite like an Apple picked fresh from the tree, a quick buff up and then to sink your teeth into that wonderful crisp flesh. I am sat here drooling I must take a quick trip to the fridge to get one of my apples. Excellent sneaking and photograph Tara, not to forget Aunties involment. Bravo!!!!!
