Yes, that IS snow....and it was snowing heavily at the time. This is what it looked like in the higher elevations in my trip up into the mountains last week. I wonder what mountains these are...Maybe I missed you saying that. Wherever it is, it sure looks bleak. Hope you packed your long johns... :^D Very atmospheric photo, John...I got a chill just looking at it...and yet, it made me feel like I can't wait to get to that boathouse so I can get inside and warm up.
