My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

What's this, you can't get apples or pear trees from seeds? Talk about disillusioned...all my years wasted believing you could! Well, I guess that blows the story of Johnny Appleseed out of the water. Anyway, a fabulous capture of the gorgeous Bartlett pear, my favorite variety of the species, hanging in delicious temptation from the limb. Terrific clarity, lighting and textures in this macro, my dear!

Well...so much for me wanting to start one of these plants from seedlings. Interesting subject and capture. Aloha

How lovely and appropriate that this lovely Fall pear is seen in dappled shade.... Looks yummy too. (Did you know that when you can pears, you have to leave the long stringy bit down the centre alone? Most of the flavour is in there!) You never, EVER went scrumping apples? Not ever? One evening each Autumn, us kids used to go on a scrumping evening, and from the comment I read above, it seems I'm not the only Brit around here!

Excellent capture of this beautiful pear and the info is interesting as I didn't know that.

very interesting tidbit about pears and apples.I love pears but developed an allergy to them.I have a fruitless pear tree that has tiny fruit about the size of a dime.one of my dogs loves the little fruit.if I trim branches, she is over eating the fruit.I love your capture

Maybe you should have backed up a step or two and gotten a shot of a Bartlett pair at the same time. :-) My new house has a pear tree, but I haven't tasted the fruit yet. Been kinda busy, ya know? I really like this one: very nice colors and composition.

Gorgeous example of a most delicious fruit!!!!! I used to have a dehydrator and I dried all sorts of fruit, but dried pears are my favorite, they're just like candy but healthier for you!!!! excellent image!!!
