Description
Here is the second version of the Space Wolf wallpaper for the series of 40K Chapter wallpapers I am working on. This version is abit more "serious" looking and in keeping with the other two already displayed.
This is ver.2A Because I feel I may go back and further embellish the figure.
So anyone out there that has or still does field a Space Wolf Force please let me know if I have captured that "Long Fang" feel.
Space Wolves - Each of the Space Marine Chapters has a distinctive "feel" that harkens back to warriors out of Terra's history. In the case of the Space Wolf Chapter, these warriors share much in common with their Viking forefathers. Much of their imagery is primal and animalistic; this is in keeping with their totemic animal, the Dire Wolves of Fenris.
A dark facet of the unique geneseed of the Space Wolves is the potential to join too closely with their totemic animal by mutating into Wolven; a lycanthropic amalgamation of Man and Wolf.

Thats how I always imagine Space Wolves. Cross between a Viking and a Space Armour Suit..... "And just as scary as a Fairy to us Orks". Nice job on the Pic though.

And so the Son's of Fenris come to the screen! Top Work! Be great to see and image of Leman Russ, the Primarch of the Space wolves. (You know, about 30% BIGGER than the average Marine, Prettier armour, etc.) Hint, Hint! :-)

I think you have the shoulder markings wrong, sorry but you have a Blood Claw (Red and Yellow) where the Grey Hunters are Red and Black and a Long Fang is Black and White. But I think the whole thing is wicked!
