Description

*This is the Space Wolf ver.2B wallpaper I wanted to create. I was a bit concerned about the fairly dark appearance of the image, but eventually decided it went much better with the story idea I had for the piece. I believe this is the final version of this image, so I hope I got the "feel" of the Space Wolves right. Any and all comments welcome. After all, it's feedback that let's us know if we are on the right track and where we can improve.* The massive Vengeance class Assault Transport Hugin had been presumed lost in warp space for ten years when it finally appeared on the outskirts of the Fenris binary system. A squad of Space Wolves was immediately dispatched to investigate the derelict when all attempts at hailing were met with ominous silence. Assault Squad Geri, after having secured the aft airlock, broke into two-man teams to start their search, eventually meeting on the command deck at the fore of the ship. Einar and Bergen were detailed to check out the enormous engine compartments. They had just made to the first control room when they detected a sharp pungent smell that immediately drew an instinctive snarl from both warriors. There was only one creature that had such a scent... Genestealers. Multi-limbed, armored in Adamantium hard Chitin and possessed of voracious appetite for slaughter, Genestealers were a particularly insidious threat to those that plied the space ways. No one was certain how such infestations occured, whether it was from seedy ports of call or something as of yet undiscovered in warp space, but one thing was certain, the crew had all almost certainly succumbed to a horrid end. Einar quickly voxed the rest of the squad to let them know what they faced. Then gripping his chainsword tighter in anticipation, Einar turned his head and nodded at Bergin and prepared to enter the room...

Looking very good my man! I really enjoy the way you add extra detail and depth to the image by enhancing the figures textures and props. The story was a good addition too.
