Renderosity has opened a whole new world to me, its a fantastic place and have had some brilliant support from many new friends.  I retired from work very early through ill health so I took to photography from the very basics.
Since joining I have grown in confidence with my photography and I now think because of RR that I take it a little more seriously. I started off here using a Fuji Finepix 6500fd, it took some great pictures but I'm hooked now so I have now(April 2008) bought a DSLR SAMSUNG DX10 and having fun learning the settings etc. ( these things take me a while lol)ÂÂ
I am so fortunate to be with a wonderful person in my life, Sylvia. She is not just my partner but of course she's also my best friend. Previously I have been married but seperated a few years ago and have two fantastic children. I NOW have two fantastic grandchildren !!!
My interests are photography, i have had a dabble at Acrylic painting, and I enjoy long walks out in the countryside.      I also have an interest in anything historical.  I want to have a sample of just about everything there is in photography, who knows what the future holds!
Thanks for calling by.    Alan

Lovely. The sunshine and shade on these drops of water, and the delicate tones of the flowers make this a delight. Where was this taken?
MrsLubner
I don't know this fancy name of frangipani. I know it as plumeria or the lei flower. I did look it up though because I was curious and found that the name "Frangipani" comes from an Italian noble family of the 16th century who seems to have invented a plumeria perfume. In my reading I also found out it is related to oleander! Imagine that. Anyway, this is a fantastic shot of this plumeria.

Excellent, whatever the name is. They do look a little like Oleander, as MrsLubner said they were related. Excellent image. The dewdrops/raindrops are a great addition.
