Description
Captured 9/13/07 around 7:45 AM, about 1.25 miles from my residence.
This is the first of several shadow pictures I will be posting, along with my usual daisies, parades, flowers/plants (including roses}, tree trunk bark, aircraft, vehicles, and the other various and sundry series of subject matter I've accumulated over the past few years.
Shadows are one of my favorites, mainly because they are constantly changing in size, shape and direction. Of course, the sun has to cooperate in this venture. Plus, one of my boyhood heroes, The Shadow, always knew what evil lurks in the hearts of men. And that was quite an undertaking, considering there's plenty of it to go around.
Have a tremendous Thursday!

The Shadow knows... I loved listening to some of those old radio programs. I only heard a scant few of a smattering of different shows... Burns and Allen, The Shadow... gosh, I know there were others but those are the ones that stuck out in my mind... Anyway, shadows - I like shadows too. When I was young i was afraid of my shadow. I thought it was some mystery person that was following me and I would run and scream trying to ditch the person stalking me. I eventually got over that (good thing huh? A person my age screaming and running would hav quite a reputation...). I love these picket shadows. The fact the grass is so even and well maintained makes this especially good. Great pov to catch the rail and post as well.

This is a pleasing image - I love the right angles with the fence, the perfect spacing, even with the path in the background. What a wonderful idea for a series! I'll look forward to seeing more. (And I'm all agog to see what you're choosing for Monday!)

As in days of old, I have arrived! I LOVE this geometric image, Harry. The slats argue with the shadows. I think the shadows are stronger, ya know. Terrific eye!!

Great image! The colors really work well here contrasting the white fence and dark shadows with the green grass.
