Description

Another bit of pottery from Marsha's house. This is actually a piece I bought for her many, many years ago as a divorce present. I took this picture in the middle of the night, in the kitchen, by the light of the overhead stove lamp. Then I postworked the heck out of it to bring the colors back to normal and get rid of most of the yellow from the low-wattage incandescent lightbulb. It was kind of a fun process. I wouldn't want to use that technique all the time - it's so much easier to just shoot in good light!

Fascinating dribbled colours! A nice shot of this pottery, but you lost me at 'post-worked the heck out of it'! lol The smooth swirl of colour looks almost like glass............very nice.

I must say I like Toddaking's description Tara. It does make a nice abstract and the colours are quite mellow, so it looks like the postwork paid off. Bravo!!!!!

It looks like its been broken and then pieced back together. However i think thats the artists intent, great effect though. At first glance at the thumbnail i thought it was a pupkin heh heh..

A divorce gift? I never got one of those, either time. Excellent bit of postwork considering the adverse lighting conditions, Tara! The hues and tones are top notch. I don't know much about pottery, except that if you break it, you've bought it, but this creation, with what looks like hanging bananas skins, is bizarre at best.
