Description

Thorstein Egilsson, son of Egil Skallagrimsson, had a farm not far from that of Steiner Sjonisson. Their properties were seperated by the Hafs Brook. Steiner, being more than a bit headstrong chose to ignore the boundary and graze his cattle on Thorstein's property. One day, Steiner sent his slave Thrand to intentionally herd the cattle onto Thorstein's property. Thorstein informed Thrand that he was trespassing, but the slave would hear none of it and threatened to take his axe to him. While Thrand was getting ready to attack, Thorstein took the initiative and swung his axe with such force that Thrand's head ended up hanging down on his chest. Thanks for viewing!
