Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

You live by the redwood forest! AWESOME! I hit that place during the summer. The forests there are amazing. makes the area up here in WA look like squable lol. I think i'll go ahead and put a few of those in my salad. lol. Good snapshot ^^

Back home poison ivy is the culprit but here it is poison oak. No matter...it all does the same thing. This is a wonderful shot. Hope you didn't brush it accidently!

This is such a beautiful capture, and I love the paradox of it...incredible beauty and well...nastiness when touched! The commentary implied by this image is quite intriguing and it's an all around beautiful and wonderfully presented capture. Great work!

I just know I would not recognize it and touch anyway, I'm so unschooled in these plants. Thanks for the lesson!
