Description
Taken from Cherry Springs where the lights don't shine. Compare to older posting of same nebula. There are far more stars vivible in this picture. I am now getting really miffed at the light polution that has robbed us all of the beauty of our own galaxy.
28 x 3 minute exposures with an Orion Starshoot CCD camera on an 8" scope guided with a QGuide camera on a 3" scope piggy backed on the 8". All processing done with PaintShopPro X.

Gorgeous shot! I can't much from my house because of the light pollution... What a pain to have to pack up 200 pounds of gear and drive 70 miles to get a dark(er) sky.

Beautiful image. I know what you mean about light pollution, we've just moved into town after living years in the country, now all the stars are gone! :-(
