Description
I am so sorry but I think my motherboard is failing. I am going to have to be off pretty soon to find someone to fix my machine for me. Never had a problem with my Gateways, in fact the last one is still running like a champ at 7 years old...this Dell has caused me problems from the 1st year.
Going to backup all my files to my external hardDrive and that should take a few days at least....gigabytes of stuff to copy. I'm also going to call Dell and give them a hard time because I've heard that they know they have problems with their motherboards.
Worst time to crash during the Halloween season. I have a few images in production that I can't finish because Vue6I, Poser6, PSPXI, DazStudio, Hexagon2 won't open....only Bryce and XaraXtreme will.
I thought this just happened but I think it's been happening. Vue went from opening full screen to opening in a tiny window which I had to expand. Been happening for months.
I opened my computer today and blew it out. All the fans are running fine and all cards are seated. Scan disc, defrag, Adware, Spybot, Antivirus, etc, etc....all done and nothing found. Time to get everything copied and get this piece of junk fixed.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions and sympathies. I truly appreciate it. I won't be around to comment...yet again...sorry. I'm so unhappy that this had to happen right now when I'm so busy :(
Anyhoo, hope you all have a wonderful Halloween (my fave holiday) and scare lots of little kiddies :)

First: A wonderful image! Love it!! Second: Have you ever tried CCleaner? It's free and will clear up a lot of crap that Windows stows, freeing up much needed resources. Give it a try. Google CCleaner.

I hate computer problems. I hope you get yours fixed soon. I've had my Dell for 2 years now and not a problem. My laptops at work, not as good a track record. Darling image! Love the mood of this. So well done. Bunny

Oh man, Nancy! Your computer problems are as scarey as this delightful Holloween image. Love that golden glow the fog has, awesome spooky trees, and who's got a light turned on upstairs? I hope they give the little one some nice treats! I think Dell is living off their name, which is losing it's good reputation fast. Gateway on the other hand, is gaining ground from the lousy rep their computers used to have. Gateways used to crash if you looked at them wrong. Hope your issues get resolved quickly, and let us know it turned out to be.

Gorgeous scene - at once both innocent and creepy! Fantastic atmosphere in this - very well done indeed! 5 stars from me! Now, if Vue is opening up in small window, thats just software - a sick motherboard won't cause that. Are there other issues perhaps? Just try opening a new Vue document, then expand Vue to full screen then just exit - hopefully Vue will then remember that setting and open up to full screen aa the time. There may be a setting within Vue itself that affects this, so have a look around for it. Good luck!

Hope all ends up well, before you do anything try a disk utility called Spinrite from GRC.com, if it cant fix it nothing can. Good luck.
