Description

Captured 9/13/07 around 7:35 AM, at a high school stadium about 1.8 miles from my residence. OMG, has it been over a month since I took this photo? Seems just like yesterday. Tempus fugit. Okay, this is photo No. 1 of the next 500 to be posted on my gallery -- the advent of Genesis II. After passing this stadium for several years already, I finally entered the confines and walked briskly around the track a couple of times, then slowed down and took many shots of the bleachers, with its extensive geometry and perspective, from several vantage points, which included climbing up and down the steps, along with meandering about the seats bumping my shins and ankles. MrsLubner can identify with that...right, PJ? At that time of the morning, there is virtually no one around in authority to accuse you of trespassing and/or interfere with your creative activities. In fact, there are adult walkers and joggers who take advantage of the track at that early hour. That said, just for a change from real life, I applied Invert in Photoshop to display the complementary colors in this photo...in essence, a negative of the original. Ergo, I think it looks a little bit of all-right! As is the norm, image better viewed full size. Have a spiffy work week.

I know of what you speak! I'm suffering now from a few injuries from my exploits around town. I must stop trying to squeeze into spaces a quarter of the size I am! And I have to accept the fact that some shots are just impossible to get the way I want to unless I'm willing to rent special equipment like cherry-pickers and cranes...LOL I really like what you have done here. I have often wondered what to do with that negative feature in my photo editor. Now you have shown me the possibilities. Really great shot and I love the strong angles in this.

I like the negative look! Valde splendens!! But, kinda reminds me of my intro class when we were forced to develop our own film!

The security level is greatly heightened from the bleachers I helped the students build for every football and basketball game from stacks of parts. I was alwyas fearful the exuberance of the students in shoving the planks through the steel loops would sever my guiding fingers. My parents were around but not looking. Their eyes were on the concession stands where hot dogs and candy would be sold.
