Description
Roslyn, Washington was the location used to portray the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska for Northern Exposure, a television series in the 1990's. Diane contacted me after my first post mentioning this location and mentioned she was a huge fan of the series, so I offered to post more from settings she may recall seeing. This is the first such posting...
Even if you only saw one episode of the show, you probably saw The Brick, which is a real historical tavern (over 100 years old) at the main intersection in downtown Roslyn.

They are sweets they sold here!!!!! I'll bob in on a day that Joel and Chris are around :-))) I loved everything about this show still do.... I thank you with all my heart for this dedication. Going to dig my videos out!!!! Cannot wait to see what other places you come up with. You are blessed to live in this place. Do you ever go inside the brick??? Hugs. Diane. xx

Well, I was wondering how we ended up posting photos of bars for Diane... now I understand. LOL. I think Diane and I must be running neck in neck for the number 1 fan of Northern Exposure. :-) I'm surprised you couldn't hear me howling from here when they cancelled the series. Nice shot. BTW, I was able to stop by and check out the Warsaw Tavern from the Drew Carey show - several kin folks still live in Cleveland and the Brooklyn area of Ohio. It sure was different though. Its really named the Memphis Plaza Lounge andn really looks more like another house in the block than a bar.

Great capture! I loved that show. The first time I caught it was when Chris flung the piano. That immediately captured my imagination! (How could it not? He did it because Monty Python had already done cows!) Thanks for posting this. Fun stuff!
