Description
My PC died today. It has always been a lemon but now it refuses to boot into window. My extended warranty has expired - of course - and I am so behind on comments and renders. I am online with my old laptop that is not powerful enough to render anything. I will try to get back as soon as possible. Hopefully my PC can be fixed and I won't have to wipe the drive, Hugz, Sherrie

Sucks to have a computer die. Hopefully you can recover the stuff from your hard drive(s) and maybe use some of the parts in a new build. Best of luck!

I know and feel your pain. What version of windows are you running? Some versions are easier to recover from than others.

I just had to reinstall everything on mine because of a disk crash, so I know the pain you're going through. Good luck getting going again!

Yep same thing happened to me,the Techie jumped certain things on the Motherboard to get back into windows it normally is caused by a Trojan ass with the boot INI quite simple to fix but is a pain cannot be rectified by reformatting you always will have it unless the HD is replaced,and watch out for DAZ Studio it nearly stuffed mine earlier this week,hope things work out keep yer chin up Sherrie.

Just an Idea: buy a new hard drive and use it as your main drive. Reinstall windows on it, and then install your old HD as a slave unit. DPH

what a coincidence...my system seems to be ok, but my Operating System @#$% out..had to reformat, drop 20, and punt. going to be a long time reloading Poser, Bryce, and the rest of the gang. Thank heavens I'm a*al about backing things up. Now if I can only remember where I have the backups...;) Seriously, if you can get on the net from another PC, there's plenty of forums that might help you out. good luck.
