Description

Until I go out again seeking similar subject matter, this is the last photo of my short rock and shadow series for your perusal and appraisal. Captured 10/20/06 around 7:20 AM, at a park about 1.5 miles from my residence. This rock does not have the texture or the long shadow as in yesterday's posting of Rock of Ages #1, but it's not bad for a product of geology. Have an unforgettable weekend.

I love the shape of the rock, with the fairly sharp edge. That looks amazing in the sunlight! Beautiful. It gives a whole 'nother dimension to this shot. I could look at more, if you change your mind! :)

This rock has character. Bold, strong, steadfast...you have bought out its inner being with this wonderful pov. The shadow is a good match for the rock as well. It too is bold and makes a statement. Good shot!

Well... maybe the same rock but NOW I see the Washington Monument along with a huge crater in the rock. (secondly, I see a scene from Planet of the Apes...but don't ask about that...lol.) Very odd how the time of day and shadows make such a difference.
