I believe this is a Birch tree. You realy have to be careful when you walk through the forest here. This one was plainly in sight, next to my storage. :o) Lucky me. Thanks for looking. I think it is a birch (the national tree of Russia, by the way...or at least the favorite tree of Russia at any rate.) I love the way you've captured the play of light here and the splash of red in the small leaves nearly flush with the trunk itself. Great work!
