Garlor
A very odd layout, I wonder why it never became popular?

A strange aircraft indeed!

Garlor, such a design is less eficent aerodinamically than "normal" planes; also, the rear propeller mount and twin tail makes for a VERY dangerous bail out, at best... Another very nice design! Cheers!

Interesting it reminds me a bit of the Japanese Shinden and the XP-59 Bullet. The Shinden had an excellent performance the bullet suffered from the engines inability to cool. Great pic.

SUPERB DESIGN, a beautiful story about flying armies !!!

Cool aircraft design, but it seems to be a lightweight in armament compared to other aircraft of the time.

Interesting. Taken from the P-38 I assume. http://www.kelleycows.com/images/p38.jpg At first, since I saw no propellars, I thought it was a jet and so I was wondering how the Swedes could jump into jets so fast but now I see it is an attempt to improve on the P-38. Interesting design.

Very well done. 5+.

A wonderful render of an interesting design. This advanced Swedish design flew first with a piston engine and was later modified to take a jet engine. It also was one of the first planes to feature an ejection seat.

Thank you geoff for this one of our most unique Swedish designs (although it was not particularly successful, as the construction was delayed due to lack of engines)...and Buffalo1! I am amazed that you know so much about it. Well done both!

Im no big fan of airplan, but since this is from Sweden I couldn´t help looking it up on the net. It seems that this may be the conversion plan to a jet that got the namne J21 R insted of the J21A-1 but it dosent fit the plans I found of the plan so I´m not going to get any deeper into now. Great sketch anyway
