Description

We went out to the Hollow Sunday morning, last minute decision based on the weather report! We had two wonderful days, today was even better then the weather man said it would be! Tomorrow it's rain, and supposed to get colder. I think our lovely warm days are gone. Of course I took a ton of pictures, and this time made SURE I had plently of extra batteries. I was thrilled to sneak up close enough to capture this dragonfly. I could only get so close, so I had to zoom in as this guy was VERY flighty! It's not as crisp a photo as I'd like, but there's only so much my little camera can do! So here it is folks, my catch of the day! I hope that everyone noticed that I made a correction to my previous post, that little Goth Fae was not by Propschick, it was by Bellona, found in Bellona's Free Stuff, right here on 'Rosity! And what a lucky find it was, it made my image! Great big Thank You to all who stopped to look at the previous post "Undead", and who left much appreciated comments. And Great Big Thanks to all who favorited it. Again, I was totally overwhelmed, and completely thrilled that it was so wonderfully received!

I think you did a splendid job. Dragonflies can be very elusive. Unfortunately they will all soon be gone for the year. I only see a few each day instead of the hundreds that were everywhere just a few weeks ago. Oh well, they will be back at my place in April. Thanks for sharing. Lee

I'd love to know how to get that close to a dragon fly without it flying away... maybe they just don't like me. Oh well, nice capture anyway :D

It is crisp enough and a wonderful memento of your camping summer. I have seen a tenth of your worm summer and it is long gone here. Just saying to make you appreciate your weather better.

A wonderful photo of "Evenrood." You were so lucky to capture him on film. The light is perfect makes his wings look like spun silk. Beautiful!

Oh may Rita, you must have extremely good eyesight to find this cute little fellow. He/she blends in exceedingly well with the local plants. Your picture does a superb job of capturing and displaying this wonder od nature with clarity, color, and detailed textures!!! Excellent work!
