Hello. I'm Rowena, but I go by Row. I live in Wasilla, AK and that's the base for most of my pictures that are in this gallery. I have been taking photos for years, but have just come off a long break from the internet and so haven't loaded newer stuff into the gallery. I will be trying to get more uploaded soon, but I hope you will enjoy the images in my collection in the mean time. :)
Thanks for checking out my stuff.
~Row.

Great shot, eerily beautiful bug; he looks like a living syringe :)

Gorgeous capture. I'm SO NOT certain what this critter is, but that long stinger syringe is probably an ovopositor, which means this little guy you captured is a girl. Probably a kind of Ichneumonid wasp of some sort; if that's the case then the long tube in back is used to inject her eggs into tree bark or soil or something like that. Of course I could be totally wrong, and besides...I'm more interested in the artistic elements of the photograph here. This is great work. If you're curious about what this thing may be, you might also consider posting this at www.whatsthatbug.com with a few details of what state/country/city you saw it in and someone there will definitely be able to tell you. Fantastic work!
