Description

I am not sure, but I think someone said that this is a Spruce Beatle. If you know what this is, please tell me so I can document it right. :o) This is the third one of the season (summer) I saw. I tried to get pictures of the first one, but it flew at me, and I ran. The second one I did't have the camera with me. But this one, I got him. lol. Oh, this guy landed on a towel I had outside airing out. :o) Spruce Beatles are dangerous to the Sprcue trees, and have been known to kill whole forests. Thanks for looking. Your comments are always welcome. :o) ~Row. I stopped in to the Genre Challenge, and that's why I'm posting so many bugs these days... I got them all out to take a look at what I had, and they are more interesting than snow falling, so here they are. lol. :o) Hope you think so too. :o)

WOW! I love insects, but aside from that, this is a great capture, and I love the contrast between the beetle and the towel he landed on. Funny thing about bugs is when they fly at you, it's usually because they think you'll make a convenient perch. Great shot of this one though!
