Description
When you look at the Utah road map for highway 261 and see it sort of go squiggly, this is it! But it's a great view of the Valley of the Gods from up here.
Sorry 'bout the lens reflection spots here. I've got a lens shade to help with that next time.

Dear Kansas, it would be a lot more than nerve-wracking. I'd probably lose my job for picking this route in the big truck. There may be drivers that can do it, but I cannot imagine the circumstance that would necessitate my dragging a 70-foot-long articulated vehicle through those gravel switch-backs. See http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1530641 (Where's the Water?), http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1520306 (Below), or http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1545695 (Enlightenment), which were earlier scenes in this series from our vacation trip to Lake Powell.

lens shades does not always work.I usually hold my hand out to block the sun spots.I love Utah and I wish I had went here. not a highway to drive a rig down!!I was bringing equipment to the U of Ark. and came in the back way to Fayetteville and the roads were very bad on hairpin curves.that time I was in a bobtail but a very long one. up above I seen a semi flashing its lights and I realized he was giving me way.well I went to the far left side of the road and the curve was so sharp that my rear wheels ran off the pavement into a ditch.pray tell how he made the curve with a 45' trailer in tow

Richardphotos, you've got my respect. That very highway was my very first trip on my very first driving job 14 years ago, at night, in the rain wth a load of frozen turkeys. Oh, sorry, I almost forgot, one's supposed to begin a trucker tale with, "This ain't no s**t." Now they've built that wonderful tunnel through the mountain and a four-lane bypass. BTW, my Nikon E8800 has a menu setting that is supposed to fix sun spots, if I could only figure out how to use the menu. I think I like your suggestion better. Thanks.
