Awesome render. I like the clouds. The only niggle is that the texture of the stone is too fine compared with the sword, so it kinda makes the rock look like a mountain with a giant sword embedded. Other than that its very cool! ;-)

Wasn't the sword in the stone different to Excalibur? ;) The lightimg could be brighter IMO.

Hello Tom, I think the blade looks really well made. The handle seems a little smallish to me, and the point where it meets the hand guard seems a bit thin. Broadswords were meant for inflicting and receiving heavy blows, so a sturdier handle would make it more realistic to me. I love the detailed filligree and all the features of the handle. What a gorgeous allusion to 'Excalibur' by John Boorman and to the Knights of the Round Table. This is a brilliant composition, and the low-angle shot gives Excalibur a magnificent outline. Great great job you 've done here , Tom ! 5+++

Now That is Excalibur!!! I can almost hear the theme music from the film of its name sake as the young Arthur Pendragon pulled it from the stone!! Awesome image with the most perfect a backdrop setting love it!!!
