Description

Me and Jeff(jeffG7BRJ) went on a great day trip. Somewhere Jeff had been before so it was good of him to take me. keep an eye out for Jeffs gallery, he tells a better story than I do. THE IRONBRIDGE GORGE MUSEUMS, Telford, Shropshire, UK. This is well worth a day out especially good for families. Blists Hill Victorian Town covers over 1 mile, and takes you back to the days of Britains Industrial Revolution. The staff are dressed in period costume and demonstrate their work and gives a good idea of how hard their lives were.(back in Jeff's days lol) This shot was one of my first there, taken into the sun, which gave it this sepia effect, I've only altered the brightness and cropped in PS. the brightness in the Image adds to the feeling, but I think you altered it a little too much since you get a brighter halo around all object.. Take care,, =)

plenty of mood and atmosphere in this alan looks like you had a good day out :o).. of course i did know where you were going lol .i think bonker has a point with the brightness but i dont think it spoils it too much mick

If the lady and here child were not there, I could have been mistaken.. It very much looks like an ancient photograph of days long gone.. Great work.

I must agree with iaacf and Jane Alan If you had cropped out the toddler and it's mum, it would have been perfect. Absolutely beautiful mood to this, with the smoke from the iron foundry drifting across through the sunlight. Magical, straight back to 1896! Bravo!!!!! I'm jealous I missed this.

I still have the original pic so I'll take all the advice on board and have another play around. I have already cropped quite a lot off the height. The Horse and cart were moving so I couldn't wait until the Mother and toddler had gone. I thought I had something good with the low sunlight gleaming through the smoke behind. Thanks for the comments, it all helps.
