is the biggest of the big cats and ranges over most of asia, including bangladesh, india and as far as tibet. its habitat is grassland, to jungle, and is the national emblem of bangladesh. they eat medium to large prey which includes wild boar, sambar and even water buffalo. they have also been known to take other predators such as leopards and wolves, and have been known to take on and kill a bull elephant. they are very accomplished tree climbers and will eat just about anything that comes across their path including humans. and at last count there were 680 tigers left in the wild which makes them one of the most critically endangered animals of all.
