Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

I see you have been having a rocky experience lately. I think we all wonder how those rocks really get up there. Like Ancient Egypt ect. Nice shot. Aloha

Is elevation the same as height above sea level? People usually need oxygen masks at 12,000 feet! So interesting to think of all the uses these stones have been put to and the amount of humans that have clambered over them.

Cool POV, well done!

Now that's pretty cool looking. Wonder why they were doing/did that.
goodoleboy
Apparently there was enough oxygen at that altitude for you to take another fabulous shot of those sharp rocks. Of course, with very little oxygen, you're most likely to be stoned, like with alcohol and drugs. In any event, except for the clouds and blue sky, it still looks like the surface of Mars.

This would make a nice texture, Excellent Shot!!!! До свидания

That pile of stones is just fascinating. What amazing story is behind them, I wonder? Very cool.

Wow, just getting up there is so much work, I'd hate to think of having to haul a load of rocks down. Great shot, as usual.
