Description

Returning home after three days of intensive Photoshop teachnig I was tired and had to face a mountain of administrative problems. Since two months I had tried to make another scene (which will be Szanden 7) with the alien pilot Szanden having leisure time, but it is so LOOONG to achieve… Pending this scene (that I really do not know when it will be finished), I decided simply to open excellent tins, to mix the content and put it simply in my microwave oven (namely Cinema 4 D plus Photoshop). The result that you see here was done in two hours, but, hey, who is the true artist in fact? Here the kind alien woman in her space plane reaches the main station, as her friend Deraguen has already docked her shuttle to it. The beautiful space planes were created in 2005 by Paul J. Schrenker and you can download them here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/index.php?username=pauljs75 The space station, entitled SpaceShip1, is a recent creation by DVTVFilm, available here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/index.php?username=dvtvfilm The background image is a very intelligent and high quality kit created by Bogwoppet (Tony Hayes). It is a multi-layer Photoshop file that you can open even with extremely old versions. I kept the following layers : Sky 5, Large star, Starfield and Planet 8 (the Earth-looking one). There are plenty other planets and meteorites in this kit. You find this enchanting file here: http://www.sharecg.com/v/11144/texture/Space-Construction-Kit-(32-Photoshop-PSD-Layers) But as I was not entirely glad with the planets for my render, I preferred Geoegress (aka Kenneth L. Martin) Planet 8 one for the brown moon. This was included in Geoegress Planet Pack for Poser. There was also a Planet Expansion Pack by Geoegress. Both were available at Rendervisions. This site has closed, so Geoegress has now loaded them under the name of Geo’s Planet Pack (combo), on his own site: http://www.a-lot-of-jigsaws.com You must register to download the folder (registration is free). Then go to Downloads > Artists downloads, or directly to Artist's Freebies, and select the item. I rendered the two space shuttles (after having rebuilt their textures) and the station in Cinema 4 D. Normally they are intended for Poser, but as they are Obj files they can be used in C4D as well, if you repair the texture links or change the textures. The planets and sky were put behind in Photoshop CS3. As Geoegress brown moon was to small, I upscaled it and enhanced its sharpness with the Filter Sharpen, using the Dynamic Filter function of the last version of Photoshop. Be careful if you downscale a file using PsdCS3 Dynamic Filter function, because the Filter effect is then greatly increased. Therefore it is necessary to flatten the image before, and then to save it under another name.

The two worlds. Sisters as Astronomers call them, have societies so totally and distinctively different that one would think their planet's locale would be galaxies apart. As it turned out, when one of the societies learned space travel, the other society was into practicing global domination. Conquest in their hearts was the resounding response to the peaceful gesture of greetings the space faring sailors received upon landing. It would seem war would ensue except for the strategy employed by the peaceful ones of not returning to the planet of the neanderthal beings who were themselves inept at perfecting space travel. Story to continue...(?)
