Description

Here is another shot of the Cross Club interior. This is one of the more atmospheric seating areas. The doodads and doohickies on the ceiling and walls rotate slowly and/or light up in different colors, catching the different colors of still other lights. Virtually EVERYTHING on the walls and ceiling of this place moves! It's a nightmare clockwork mechanism, rather like some infernal machine set to accomplish a maddeningly unspecified task. Of course you don't really notice the perpetual machine quality all of the time because the place is usually crowded and filled with smokers...indulging in tastes a bit more...um...green than tobacco... AH...the liberalness of Prague! It outdoes Amsterdam in more respects than one should mention in polite company. I should also mention that if you're interested in living through science fiction movie bar scenes, this is the place to go. I'm sure if you ask nicely, they'll even play the Cantina Band music from Star Wars (Ska style, of course) just to bring out the true nature of the place. But you might have to ask in Czech. As always, thank you for viewing and commenting, and hopefully, you enjoy this picture as much as I enjoy the bar it was taken in.

Seems like if they're smoking more than the usual stuff, the lights and constant motion could cause some pretty outrageous reactions!! I know what would happen to me!! Great shot, do they serve margaritas!!!!????

Count Tyrannus would like to fill the club with partygoers as the Room of Correction is overbooked. Nice one Chip!

Great sounding/looking place and good time exposure by you. Prague is a wonderful city with much to love about it. When I was there in 2001, much was still being reconstructed and the cost of living was very low. I'm sure that has changed in spades, by now. I'm almost afraid to visit there again, I might go into shock.

That's such a cool photo! You make the place sound so cool, too. It's a good thing I'm so far away from it, once I stepped in I'd never leave! Way cool capture of the lighting and atmosphere!
