Description
Every year at Halloween, my lawn becomes a graveyard. Ghouls, skeletons and ghosts are commonplace. The preparation for this holiday around here is extensive.
The best part is that all I have to do is take pictures! I have a duplex, and my upstairs neighbor and friend of many years is a total freak about Halloween. He takes several days off work to set up and tear down his yearly masterpiece. On Halloween night he gives out full-sized candy bars.
I've included Lance's picture so you can see how much he's enjoying this process! He's the one in the lower right-hand corner.
Oops! Nope - that's not right, my mistake - he's center, top. :)
This is what my place looked like on Saturday afternoon at about 5:00. Most people would stop at this point and call it good. (Well, probably better than good!) Not Lance. He will continue to add more decorations over the next few days. On the 31st, he'll be setting up the final bits - things he doesn't want to leave out unattended. After the trick-or-treating is done, after everyone has gone to bed, he'll be out in the yard taking the more sensitive and expensive things down and packing them away.
I'm hoping it doesn't rain that night! I'm planning on being out there with my tripod, taking available-light shots.

If I had known what you guys were up to, I'd have sent you the bag full of stuff I bought for my RR Halloween contest entry, which I didn't post cuz I blew the dead (pun intended) line!!! How fun, and FULL SIZE candy bars, he's the most popular guy in town for sure!!! Can't wait to see the rest!!! Isn't Halloween fun???

Fantastic collage Tara, although I hate Holloween in the UK but thats another story. This looks fantastic, Lance must be a total fruit cake to do all this and I say that in the kindest way. He seems to be fanatical about the holiday and I can appreciate Hollween American style, with all the kids dressed up and going round 'Their Neighbourhood'. It sure looks like they will have fun when they get to your neck of the woods. I hope you get plenty more pics on the night, should be a real Hoot to say the least. Love this collage, tell Lance I think he's nuts, but the right kind of nuts. Bravo!!!!!
