Description


The first full-size pyramid that did not collapse. Built for Pharao Djoser (2667 - 2648 BC),it is believed to have been built by Imhotep.

Great shot of one of my favorite sites--I have not visited it yet, but I'm quite an admirer of ancient Egyptian culture and art and I love this image. An especially nice touch is the line of cobras (representations of Uatchet, I think, but don't quote me, especially in regard to spelling.) are a fantastic touch. Great work! Fantastic detail.
