Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fantastic capture! The sharpness of the details here is absolute fantastic! I love the colors that have been brought out by the tufts of pampas being in near silhouette! The composition itself is gorgeous! Fantastic work!

I have a HUGE bunch of it growing in a corner of the back yard. In the summer, I take electric hedge trimmers and wack it all around. It seems to keep it from getting too bad. Its so beautiful when it blooms! Great shot.

A great into the sun shot, I usually finish up with loads of glare and nothing else. This is good, more than good. Bravo!!!!!

Great work. You chose the tough shot into the light and it came out well. I'm speculating post processing helped bring out the detail.
