Description
most of downtown is comprised of the original casinos and a few office buildings.I stay on the far north side just at the edge of where the houses stop at the top of the picture when in Vegas.now within walking distance there is a new casino slated to open the end of 2008
I went to the Mount Charleston and the temperature was 27 F and there is a huge forest up there.the only snow was on the very top of the peak
thanks for viewing and any comments. you know after a vacation it takes a while to adjust home life and I am trying to catch up on the galleries

Hi Richard, great to see you back! Looks like you had a cool time! Awesome capture. Surprised there was not more haze! I'm curious, what time of day did you take this shot? Doesn't seem to be a lot of really strong shadows. What I do see, makes me think around 10am or 2pm perhaps, depending on which way is east and west. But I am more guessing than anything.

It's an whole new ballpark in the day time Richard, I bet half the residents of Vagas have never seen it like this. The only bit of Vagas that I've seen has been on TV and that is not a very good representation. This is fantastic, Vagas without the 'Glitz'. I look forward to your next upload. Bravo!!!!!

This valley is so flat. Even with all the buildings and human activity, you can tell this is and should be desert. A wonderful and open shot with good details.
