I am unsure of the exact answer, but I guess that it is a cast of the fossil prehistoric skull of Steinheim-am-Murr, Germany, an early forerunner of Homo sapiens, dating back probably from the Mindel-Riss epoch i.e. 300,000 years ago. It was unearthed in the earliy thirties. Anyway it is a cast of true fossil man who is an evolved representative of the species Homo erectus, this is the true answer! And this is real, it is a true human skull but of a different species than the present one. This is one of the many proofs that the man of today has progressively evolved from an ape ancestor to the modern form.
