Well, the two sides look to be the same, but two pilots at separate controls could be a recipe for disaster. Maybe they had alarm clocks fitted and took turns. Democracy in Nazi Germany...mmm!

I think there was one set of controls. It was just a cheap way to make a big plane stitch two medium ones together instead of making one from the ground up.
