I must have chosen Renaissance Man as a career option. I paint, draw, sculpt, write, and do photography.
Or put less charitably, "jack of all trades, master of none."
== Say in NOW, Say it LOUD, I'm a Hack, I'm not PROUD! ==
The joy of the creative life is there are no standards, no goals, no limits. Just do whatever you feel like doing to the fullest extent of your skills, facilities, faculties, and creativity.
Of course, it helps if everything is on hand, working, the Muse is making regular deliveries, and you're not tuckered or psyched out from your day job (or in my case, the overnight job).
I've been exhibiting at SF convention artshows since '76.
Starting in '86, I've been writing supplements for role playing games. You can find a list at http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?op=showcreator&creatorid=2327
The best known is THE ULTIMATE POWERS BOOK, a treatise on comic book superpowers. You can find it on EBay or download it from the web.Â
As for photography, I'm using a 1976 Minolta SLR, a pair of 1.3 Mp Sanyo digital cameras, and an 8 Mp Canon S5. My computer is a HP Pavilion 4550Z, vintage 1999.
And I have webbed toes.
So does Dan Ackroyd, Madeline Stowe, and one of the Dixie Chicks. Ackroyd and I share the same attitude, "The toes prove I'm a mutant."

Except I was around when the pixie sticks were laced with poison by that nut case... One child either died or nearly died...can't remember which. Its been awhile. But I agree, homemade treats can often be much better than the expensive stuff that comes in the bag. This looks like a great group! Good shot.

Most of the group does not look scary, but it is that lady in brown on the right with the sword. great image.. true Halloween spirit Horror to the bone

Just great!! And I just heard the weirdest song on the radio yesterday, a Halloween special, all about those razor blades, and nasty things. It was totally horrible, but funny as hell, and perfectly apt for the day!! Too bad we get to dress up and act like kids only one day a year!!!

The kids poisoned by the pixie sticks were poisoned by THEIR OWN FATHER, not a neighbor or a stranger. He even made them sit around the kitchen table and eat them, and forced them to eat them even after the complained that they "tasted strange". There has NEVER been any other cases of candy or other Halloween treats being tampered with.... despite the weight of the Urban Legends. J had a great time performing on Sunday for the Trick or Treaters... I also took something like 75 photos.
