I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

Excellent terrain!

Wow, it's splendid! I love how the moon kinda fades into the sky. The mountains look so realistic that I could feel the rough, grainy texture. The formations of the rocks look very natural. I like the army of cactuses, too^^

One the best, or at least the most original looking vegetation renders i've seen recently with TG2. Also the boulders are realsitic too. I could be in Nevada somewhere... Well done.

Agree with bleurelatif. Terrain and textures are excellent but I'm not fan of the cactus.

This is a stunner, Bob. I'm so tempted to give it another go when I see results this good. You've made my Sunday with this render.
