Description

A friend of mine recently donated a licensed version of C4D v9 to us here at Tribaltek. Just as well because Vue keeps crashing and has become irritating to say the least. We've had it for a week now and this was my first attempt at using it. I thought I would stay with a simple modeling and lighting exercise and decided to use a model of an Aston Martin DB9 which is available as a freebie over on Turbosquid. I redid all the textures on the car using C4D's amazing texture editor and redesigned the front grill to make it look a bit meaner. The actual scene is available in the C4D pack but I removed all the original textures and lighting and added my own new ones, which I thought better complimented the stunning lines of this amazing car. All original cameras were deleted too. The render time took a little under an hour and is simply incredible in its clarity. I then ran the images through CS2 for a little postwork and added all text and photo frames to give it that promotional poster style look. The finished result I am exceptionally pleased with to say the least...Wow,what a car!! This will be my software of choice from now on,Vue behaves like a 5 year old girl when asked to do something she doesn't like...mumbles something intelligible and simply shuts down anywhere she chooses. Its a huge program and it will take some time, but I look forward to the challenges C4D has to offer, this is one software package you don't outgrow!! Thanks for looking!!
