Interesting and your frame just suits the image - Excellent!!!
Garlor
Frame matches well, perspective is ace, certainly you should not get concerned about the asa, pin sharp is not always welcome in landscapes its more the mood. The last image in my gallery(thanks for choosing it)was shot at 800. I have abandoned many traditional rules and try for the image rather than getting concerned too much about the technical side.

I have a thing about piers as well, you captured this perfectly. Your new camera is just fine; it's your eye that gets the shot!!!

I like this a lot Gary ... it has almost a painted feel to it. Excellent photo.. love the frame too.

I love the perspective you have used here. It makes for a very strong image. Well done!

Don't see a grain here, just an amazing dreamlike shot.

You've got my mind going in different directions! 1) Sometimes grain is desirable. I have a filter plug-in that actually ADDS grain to a shot! It's all about taste and mood and effect and what you're looking to convey. This is a wonderful image, and the grain here doesn't bother me at all, even at full view with magnification. 2) I didn't know Johnny Mercer had a pier named after him. Is that body of water, then, the Moon River?

fabulous shot Gary...i do so love walking along long piers

I think the grain is from the dark shadows mixed with a background with much more light.even with more expensive cameras will have the same result if the lighting interferes with the camera's automatic setting

I think it's wonderful !

I love the view and the shot is well done for the mood and subject. Keep doing what you are doing since it seems to be in the right direction.
