Description

This was taken earlier in the morning than my previous upload... I toyed with several ways to adjust/alter this photo and each time my decision was to stick with the original. So here it is -- straight out of the camera and into your lives. I did despeckle to soften the grain and put that bevel thingy around the edge. ;o) Here's the setup: One of those pesky storms was passing off the coast, sending us an increase in wind and clouds. There was just a hint of sunlight (from off to the left) and everything was so blue and a little surreal. Only the sound of the windblown surf ... and the occasional sea gull. And one hearty soul taking a moment to prepare his bait. (If I didn't know better I'd be guessin' that might be ol' vaggabondd, himself...) ;']

I sure would hate to try to bring up a fish of any size in that weather. Bad enough you have to keep the line from getting swept under the pilings but to have the wind and waves fighting with you also and the height you must bring the struggling fish up! Wow. A challenge. I love the mood you have captured here. And...is that a buoy in the surf out there behind the pier?

This is the kind of morning I love to walk the surf, if I get the chance. It almost feels as if you are alone in the world.
