AloooooooooHa! Whew.. been quite busy lately with work and life in general as I'm sure most of you are this time of year. I am re-posting this image taken in 2003 of this lenticular cloud that appeared over my hometown on Hilo, HI. This image was posted on Webshots for 4 years and received 6 comments, but over 10,000 views. Last week it was featured as the "Picture of the Day" on Webshots.com and received 201 comments and over 139,000 views! Needless to say I was pretty stoked! I guess if you hang in there long enough people will eventually see your work. I saw this type of cloud on Mt. Hood (in Oregon) once but it didn't have the beautiful colors that this one has. This is an amazing shot and I'm glad you have been recognized for taking it. Congratulations.

Phenomenal!!!!! Gosh Dave, this one really looks like it means business!!! Did it eventually pour buckets or did it just loom around and look eerie????? What a freaky capture this is! No wonder it has so many views!!! To be honest, I almost didn't make this a favorite...because it's so scary. I actually don't want to ever see it again, lol... But my hat is off to you for taking this extraordinary pic...So amongst my favs it goes, Na'e... :^)
