Description
All the flowers are slowly fading with the cooler weather. This Blue Delphinium is spotted and bug eaten but still trying to bloom. We're expecting our first frost/freeze on Wednesday night when it will be curtains on the flowers and truly Fall. Time to plant some pansies!

Yes, it seems as inevitable as a sunset, doesn't it. Next season's blossoms should entertain us, soon, though.

My delphiniums gave it up about a month ago. They bloomed and bloomed and bloomed again and then sank back into the earth. I am hoping they seeded enough that they will be back next year. If not, I'll have to replant for sure. This is a lovely shot and they really don't look at all bad for so late in the year.
