Description

Captured 6/19/07 in the early AM, within walking distance of my dwelling. Another grand experiment using the variable focus filter, akin to yesterday's My rose for today #28. Yessiree, macro on steroids. A rather different effect. Sharp upfront and most hazy at the back of the rose. I believe this is the last one I did employing this particular filter. Actually, other than my beloved but tormented daisies, I usually reserve filter postwork for flowers that don't come out too good photographically, or have seen better days and are getting long in the tooth. Have a whiz of a work week!

I love the focus to blur here. It centers the focus and then lets the eye fan out to gather in the softness of the shot. A wonderful affect, Harry. These roses get better as you go along. :-)

Just lovely, Harry. The blurred edges give it such depth and softness. Are these fragrant, too?
