Northern Lights III {November} As Cool as November smooth as China silk. Lethal in her beauty, shes perfection and grace. A swath of fine China silk, hand painted in cool hues of Asia Blue. So delicately has this been done, that only the trained eye of an ancient can discern the sacred calligraphic writings and the story that lay stealthily woven within the surrealistic flow of the patterns on these ribbons. Most would only see or think of these ribbons as props use in an ancient dance, never to understand that this dance itself is series of movements, katas, Tai Chi of a still even more ancient art of self defense; and that the ribbons themselves in the hands of this woman are as, if not more lethal then any sword forged of the hardest metal which has been honed and sharpened to a fine razors edge. With one graceful movement, one almost imperceptible snap of the wrist, the flow of a ribbon so graceful in its rippling cascade as to seem more like gently floating, caught in a summers breeze she can remove the head of a man clean off its shoulders. Blue are the life-giving waters taken for granted, that quietly understand. Once happy turquoise armies lay opposite at the ready, but wonders why the fight is still on.
