Description

KWAN YIN also KWANNON was once known as the Goddess of mercy and compassion. In ancient times she was depicted in painting and statue as a lady dressed in white seated on a lotus and holding an infant. It is said that after being murdered by her father and cast down, she recited the holy books when she arrived in Hell and the ruler of the underworld could no longer make the dead souls suffer. The disgruntled God sent her back to the world of the living where Kwan Yin attained great spiritual insight and was rewarded with immortality by the Buddha. But something went terribly wrong.... Now she is the most lethal assassin of The Kuei-Jin. Some still view her with great pity, as it is believed that along with not only being murdered, but murdered by her on Father whom she loved deeply, that and her time spent in hell alone must have been enough to... to cause great change in her, soil her inner beauty, corrupt her spiritual purity. Also a woman of little patience, Kwan Yin sits slouched in the throne chair looking on as the rest of the clan enjoys the blood feast when Teli approaches from behind and inquires as to her un-festive demure. Focusing on the captured Northerner in what can only be described as an expression of disdained exasperation she pouts, "I could have killed her a thousand different ways by now".
