Description

well i managed to get a couple of different views of the church for you and this is one of them .i had a job getting these as the church and grounds are locked up ,a sign of the times i `m afraid :o(...so jeff i could`nt get any shots yet of the glass but i am going round again to talk to the vicar to ask permission to take some shots inside .i had to climb on the wall and hold on the railings to get this shot and ended up with vandal grease on my hands and coat ,so there was a bit of a moan from my lovely wife lol :o).. thanks for you continued support and comments and have a fantastic thursday mick

I think its great that people like yourself take an interest in their local buildings and anything in our own areas. everywhere has some history attached to it even if it is just related to our own experiences such as you have said Mick - Weddings, Funerals etc. This is great stuff I'd like to see more. hope you get some of the stained glass. Thanks for sharing. ( only last night I was tinkering in photoshop with a shot of our local church lol)

Well looking from the outside it looks as though you should have a few windows to choose from Mick, sorry about the coat but its for art. When I went to St Chads to get the windows they open three afternoons in the week. I saw the vicar and asked for permission, he started going on about using the shots for video games, me not being a news watcher I didn't have a clue what he was going on about. I told him it was for showing the beautiful stained glass to other photographers all over the world so he allowed it, when I was going I left a donation in the poor box. When I went to another one of the local churches, I went and asked permission and it was a lady warden and she started going on about the same thing, I think it was Sony or one of the big names using the inside of a cathedral in a shoot em up game, any how she charged me a fiver to take the pics. Enough already, get back on track. Excellent capture Mick, it was worth the vandal grease for this. I shall just have to wait for the rest. Bravo!!!!!
