Description

Hi there! I´d like to start this series of macros by thanking all of you who viewed my last two uploads and took the time to comment them. I want to learn and, in time be a skilled photographer (long way to go..), so all kinds of comments are welcomed. So now it is time for another go at the small world at our feet. :) This little fellow I found growing proudly in the moss in the forest nearby where I live, and he (?) seemed to have found the perfect place. Take care, everyone!

The DOF is good but there is too much blur on the foreground. The top of the mushroom is burned by light. Don't hesitate to go closer to the subject.

Great POV! And I like the lighting; the mushroom looks lit from within. Do you use a reflector?

nice little mushroom alone in the herbs... Yep nice view but the little one one could more uncentered (play with tier rules). I like the dof, in opposition to Jofurowa, i like the foreground like this, this is like a protection against us. So, about the mushroom, it could be more sharp ...

Very nice. I agree that you can experiment with getting closer with macros. This one though is great! the light coming through the cap is beautiful.

At the opposit of Jofurowa which seems to give big lessons. I love the way you did this shot, the unfocusing foreground and background creates a very pleasant environment to the subject. Excellent shot, continue in this way, macro has much to do with your own feeling and intuition.

Very nice shot. I agree with Jofurowa and olivier158. Maybe you could use an led flashlight for some soft lighting. You could also put the camera on the ground to get a more interesting POV.

Excelent shot Eva. Like a colors a lot, blurry foreground perfect, I would go a bit closer to the mushroom too. But if you try to crop this picture vertical, might would make a different. I find a bit too much "empty " space left and right.

Actually I love how the mushroom is lit by the sun. Makes it very unique. Of course, this is all very subjective so we don't all necessarily like the same things. :-) I agree with the out of focus background, I'd crop it out of the photo a little. Generally, this is the kind of images I love best. There is this kind of macro photography where you only have one detail on the blurred background. I do that, too, but I consider it a different genre. What you are showing here is the detail and it's environment. This sort of a miniature landscape. Love this! I'll be waiting impatiently for your next works. :-D

Great work, Eva. I agree with some of the other comments that a slightly different crop may have worked even better, but given that you have a strongly lit subject in the center of the image (and what a beautiful lighting it is) that - in my very personal opinion - works nicely to balance the different parts of the image I think it is not really necessary, but just something you might want to try out to see what you like better.
